What VS14 Is
Vacation Station 14 is a casual SS14 hangout server. Light roleplay, creativity over violence, and a chosen-family vibe where players share the space and take care of it together.
It's built for players who don't have time to grind heavier-RP servers and just want a regular community to drop into. Bring your character, make it work — the bar is participation, not pristine performance.
A unique fork
Most SS14 servers run one upstream's content. VS14 is curated: the base is pure SS14, with hand-picked subsystems woven in from sibling stations for content variety. The round won't match any other server you've played.
The through-line is creativity and collaboration over competition and combat — what players build, scheme, and improvise together. Community events bridge our Discord and the game, so the hangout extends past any single round.
Casual, not chaotic
The community is closer to a co-op than a crew. We share the space, take care of it together, and trust players to bring the bit. Roleplay can go in any direction; the only hard line is no NSFW content.
A few baselines that shape how rounds feel here:
- Antagonists are part of the round, not the point of it. Damage proportional to the objective; don't ruin everyone's evening to win.
- Command and security set the tone. If you take one of those roles, take it seriously enough that the rest of the crew can rely on you.
- Self-antagging is the fastest way to get banned. If you're not flagged as an antagonist, you're crew.
The full rules — community, in-round, command, antag, silicon — live under Server Rules.
Where the community lives
- In-game, on this server. Hub-listed as "Vacation Station 14."
- In Discord, where most between-rounds hangout happens.
- On GitHub at github.com/azigler/vacation-station-14 — the code, the task tracker, and this guidebook all live there.
You don't need GitHub or Discord to play. They're there if you want them.
